Aer Lingus today announced its decision to appoint FTEJerez as the official flight training provider of its cadet pilots. At FTEJerez we are enormously proud to have been entrusted by Aer Lingus with the training of 20 of their future captains.
FTEJerez has a long standing relationship with Aer Lingus as some 10 years ago FTEJerez was also the airline’s choice to train its cadet pilots. In fact, the approximately 40 pilots that were trained then were the last ab initio training undertaken by the Irish flag carrier.
FTEJerez CEO, Oscar Sordo, said “we are honoured to have been chosen by Aer Lingus to train its pilots and look forward to strengthen the close ties that exist between Aer Lingus and FTEJerez”.
Captain Davina Pratt, Director of Flight Operations at Aer Lingus, said “this is an exciting and fantastic opportunity for these 20 young cadet pilots as they embark on their training with FTE Jerez and look forward to becoming pilots and future Captains with Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus and FTE Jerez have benefited from a very positive and professional working relationship in the past, with many previous cadet classes now flying our modern Airbus medium and long haul aircraft today throughout our entire route network”.
The first 8 cadets will join the next February course.
