Upcoming seminars in Manchester and Liverpool

FTE Jerez is happy to confirm that we will carryout two seminars in the UK on the 13th and 14th of March at 11:00am. We will be in Manchester on Saturday and in Liverpool on Sunday, at the Manchester Hilton Airport Hotel and at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool – John Lennon Airport respectively.

Course 82 Graduation

Last Friday the 5th of February 2010, Graduation of Course 82 was held at our Campus in Jerez. The graduates comprised students from our airline partner Flybe, as well as self-sponsored students.

FTE Jerez is pleased to announce that we are the first organisation of any kind to be formally approved by the UK CAA to test and certify English Language Proficiency levels for license issue.

BA CityFlyer Visits FTE Jerez.

Captain Carl Phelan, General Manager Flight Operations BA CityFlyer, recently took the opportunity to visit FTE Jerez as he delivered the latest of the airline’s Embraer 170 aircraft from Brazil. He flew in from Cape Verde and was accompanied by First Officer Rob Saunders, who graduated from Jerez in 2006.

Special Training Packages available to FTE Graduates

During the current slowdown in pilot recruitment, FTE Jerez recognizes that there may be a need for Graduates to maintain some form of flying currency whilst they search for employment. We are also aware that the current economical downturn is restricting the money available to young unemployed individuals. Special training packages have therefore been put together by FTE Jerez for Graduates from their ATPL(A) Integrated Course, such as MCC Refreshers, Jet Introduction Courses or IR Renewals. The English Advanced Course presents a new airline

Last 18th of December, the English Language Advanced Course held a presentation introducing a fictitious new airline they have developed throughout the course. The project consisted in covering all aspects of an airline, from marketing and catering, to human resources and fleet choice. Each member of the team managed a specific area and had to present their plan to an audience of senior managers and instructors of FTE Jerez.

Graduation of Course 81, the last Graduation of the year, was held at our Campus in Jerez last Friday the 18th of December 2009, with BA CityFlyer and self-sponsored students.

British Airways Captains visit FTE Jerez

FTE Jerez was delighted to count with the presence of Captain Charlie Maunder, British Airways Fleets General Manager, and Captain John Monks, British Airways Flight Training Manager 757/767 last month of November. The BA representatives visited our facilities and attended the Course 80 Graduation as guests of honour.

Next English Language Proficiency Test Preparation course start date

On the 11th & 12th November FTE will be running an(ELP) English Language Proficiency Test Preparation course. This will be followed by the ELP test on the 13th November.
