FTEJerez is delighted to announce the renewal of its long-standing training agreement with Air Astana, further extending a partnership spanning over a decade.
FTEJerez and Air Astana have been working together since 2013, when the Kazakh flag carrier first selected FTEJerez to train its cadet pilots. Since then, over 150 Air Astana cadets have trained in Jerez.
The renewed agreement comes as the partnership enters a new phase, with FTEJerez now delivering Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) training for Air Astana.
The first group of six MPL cadets is currently approaching the completion of the programme. This month, they commenced their Airbus A320 Type Rating in Madrid, delivered by FTEJerez, marking the final stage of their training before returning to Air Astana.

FTEJerez CEO Oscar Sordo said: “The renewal of our agreement with Air Astana reflects the strength of a partnership that has continued to develop since 2013. We are particularly proud to have taken this relationship a step further through the introduction of MPL training and look forward to continuing to support Air Astana in the training of its future pilots.”
The renewed agreement will see further Air Astana cadets undertake their training with FTEJerez over the coming years, continuing one of the academy’s longest-standing airline training partnerships.
