FTEJerez CEO Oscar Sordo has been recognised by Forbes Spain as one of the country’s outstanding entrepreneurs in the 2025 edition of Forbes ‘How I did it’ by Deutsche Bank, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid.

The event, organised by Forbes Spain and Deutsche Bank, brought together 35 entrepreneurs selected for their strategic vision and their contribution to economic growth. Oscar’s inclusion in this list is seen as a reflection of FTE’s recent development and of the organisation’s collective commitment to excellence, innovation and continuous improvement in the field of aviation training.

Under his leadership, and thanks to the coordinated efforts of the entire team, FTEJerez has consolidated its position as one of Europe’s leading aviation training centres. In the last year the academy has launched key strategic initiatives, including the opening of new air traffic control training centres in Madrid and Barcelona, as well as its international expansion with a new base at Oxford Airport.
In parallel, this year the company has also strengthened its infrastructure with the incorporation of an Airbus A320 NEO simulator, new state-of-the-art ATC simulators, expanded student accommodation with an additional 100 rooms, the refurbishment of its dedicated aerodrome in Trebujena, and the enlargement of its fleet with ten new-generation Piper Archers and a Citabria, further enhancing its training and operational capabilities.
In parallel, FTEJerez has broadened and reinforced its partnerships with international airlines, delivering cadet training for carriers such as Aer Lingus, Air Astana, British Airways, easyJet, Etihad, Iberia, Jet2.com, Kuwait Airways, Middle East Airlines and Norwegian.
