FTEJerez has today announced that the school will resume its flying operation next Monday 25th May, coinciding with the commencement of the second phase of the Spanish Government’s post-lockdown plan.

The academy’s plan is to gradually return to normal operations, as students start to arrive from their homes and settle back on campus. In preparation for the student population’s return, FTEJerez has implemented strict protocols that will guarantee the safety of all students and staff.

Even though onsite operations will commence as from the 25th of May, FTEJerez has continued to deliver Ground School during the lockdown period for both its pilot and ATC students. Courses that were expected to commence in April and May have started training as scheduled thanks to FTE’s virtual campus, a training delivery system that has guaranteed access to theoretical training for new students and those who were in training when the pandemic commenced.

In addition to recommencing training on campus, FTEJerez has also confirmed that applications for the Airline First Officer Programme will be opening soon for candidates interested in commencing training in the second semester of 2020.

Oscar Sordo, FTEJerez CEO, has commented regarding the reopening that “in times of uncertainty, it is important to take the first step to regain normality as soon as it is possible. There is no doubt there will be challenges ahead for the aviation industry, but after a period of uncertainty we are starting to receive positive news from some of our airline partners which make us look at the future with optimism. We look forward to welcoming our students and instructors back on campus and to finally fly again.”
