FTEJerez addresses Drone Training at FIDAE Chile

FTEJerez has attended FIDAE, the most important Aerospace & Defence exhibition in Latin America, which took place last week in Santiago de Chile between the 29th March and the the 3rd of April. The latest innovations in security, technology, Drones and general aviation where presented by global leading aviation organisations to a total of 110.000 assistants plus 1,000 accredited journalists.

FTEJerez was invited to participate in the conference addressing RPAS. Miguel Caparrós, ATC and RPAS Head of Training delivered a presentation focusing in the area of RPAS regulations and training. Caparrós talked about the current state of European and global regulations and the future milestones on route to obtain standardisation in RPAS syllabi. “The challenges of the growing global RPAS market and the rapid development of new technologies demands that the appropriate training and legal framework is developed. There is no doubt that the industry will experience a demand for training experts in this specific field of aviation” – Caparrós stated during his speech.

With over 100 drone pilots trained at FTEJerez in less than 2 years and with a portfolio of specific RPAS training courses specialising in topography, rescue and other civilian applications, FTE’s drone division has quickly become a point of reference in the industry with the department’s managers attending a number of national and global conferences to share their experience and work towards the future of this growing industry.
