Selection process information

Terms and conditions.

Welcome to the application website for the ATPL Scholarship. I am Oscar Sordo, FTEJerez CEO, and I am thrilled to present this exceptional opportunity.

Through this initiative, two deserving candidates will be offered 100% funding to complete FTE’s Airline First Officer Programme (AFOP), Europe’s most successful and exclusive integrated training route for aspiring airline pilots.

On completion of the AFOP the selected candidates will obtain the highest level of aircraft pilot certification: An Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).

Selection for the ATPL Scholarship will follow an initial online filter, followed by the Airline First Officer Programme standard assessment and selection process and a final interview.

FTEJerez will be awarding the scholarship to those candidates who excel in every aspect of the selection process.

Competition to be awarded these scholarships will be hard, but we will do our best to guarantee that the scholarships are awarded to the most deserving aspirants and that the selection process is unbiased, fair and objective.

I take this opportunity to wish you every success with your application, and I hope to welcome you to the FTECampus in the near future.

Good luck!

Oscar Sordo

FTE’s ATPL Scholarship is open to UK and EU nationals who are available to commence ATPL training in 2022. The award will be based on academic merits and performance throughout the selection process. In addition, the candidate’s family income will also be considered, as one of the main objectives of the scholarship is to support candidates to achieve their dream of becoming an airline pilot, regardless of their financial background.

To be eligible for this scheme you must meet the following criteria:

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years old at the moment of applying.
  • EU or UK passport.
  • Have completed high school studies (A-Levels, Abitur, Baccalaureat, Bachillerato, IB, Leaving Certs., Maturità…). Predicted grades will not be considered.
  • Fluent in English, with at least an ICAO level 4 or a B2.
  • In good health and able to achieve the standard required for the EASA Class 1 medical examination.
  • Clean criminal record.

Candidates who have already completed FTE Assessments and those who have a course start date confirmed for 2022 are also welcome to apply.

The candidates awarded with the ATPL Scholarship will only have to cover the travel expenses to/from FTEJerez, black shoes and their personal expenses.

By applying, all candidates agree to FTEJerez publicly announcing the scholarship winner’s names and sharing photographs of the awarding ceremony.

The 2 best candidates will be awarded an ATPL Scholarship.

The scholarship covers 100% of the fees of FTE’s Airline First Officer Programme, which are currently 119,500.00 Euros.

This amount includes not only the course fees, but also full-board accommodation on the FTE Campus, all training materials, uniform, iPad (electronic flight book), renewal of the Class1 medical and all landing, navigation and examination fees.
